Royal Navy Petty Officer Paul Wright, right, briefs a group from the Patuxent River F-35 Integrated Test Force (PAX ITF) test team on night flight deck safety aboard the U.K. HMS Prince of Wales aircraft carrier Oct. 1, 2023. The ship’s company is conducting PAX ITF onload in preparation to conduct F-35B Lightning II developmental test phase 3 (DT-3) flight test aboard Britain’s largest warship this fall. During this phase of the carrier’s deployment, the ship’s company and the test team will integrate to trial advanced takeoff and landing techniques with the fifth-generation premier air system.
