    Joint Task Force Bravo

    U.S. Army Soldiers and U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo, as well as Servicio Nacional Aeronaval (SENAN) and Servicio Nacional de Fronteras (SENAFRONT) personnel, organize supplies and equipment for a crash site infiltration attempt during a search and recovery mission of a crashed SENAN helicopter Sept. 13, 2023, at Base Aérea de Santiago, in Santiago, Panama. A quick reaction force of 26 U.S. Army Soldiers and U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, Army Forces Battalion, 612th Air Base Squadron and JTF-Bravo joint staff with specialties in aviation, avionics, fueling, clinical medicine, personnel recovery, public affairs, flight medicine, weather and aviation operations mobilized within an hour of tasking notification to assist Panamanian forces in the search and recovery of a crashed Servicio Nacional Aeronaval AW-139, call sign AN-141. Throughout the two-week operation, U.S. military personnel from Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, worked with SENAN, SENAFRONT, Bomberos de Panamá, and Sistema Nacional de Protección Civil (SINAPROC) to secure the remote crash site, recover the crew’s remains and extract the flight data recording device, or “black box.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech.
