Herbert Gaekel, 612th Air Base Squadron fire inspector, instructs the multinational firefighters on Helicopter Egress and Live Fire Operations during a four day Central America Sharing Mutual Operational Knowledge and Experiences (CENTAM SMOKE) exercise at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. CENTAM SMOKE allows U.S. and Central American firefighters a chance for team-building and training. Since 2007, 730 firefighters from multiple nations have been involved in the training.
