PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 14, 2023) – U.S. Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Alyssa Johnson, from Los Angeles, directs an MH-60S Sea Hawk assigned to the “Eightballers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 8 during an ammo onload on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), Sept. 14, 2023. The Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group is currently conducting advanced tactical training in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations with a focus on refining their integrated combat effectiveness.
