A Lithuanian Air Force airman, with the Siauliai Air Base ground support unit, uses a de-icing simulator at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 11, 2023. De-icing simulators provide the U.S., NATO allies and non-NATO partners a cost-effective alternative to traditional training methods and a controlled environment to practice various de-icing techniques without the need for de-icing fluid or aircraft.
