A Hayani tribal leader sits and waits for a meeting between all of the tribal leaders to begin March 8 in Albu Hyatt, Iraq. The Marines of 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, have worked with Sheik Abd-Al-Aziz Marzuk Husayn, the Hayani tribal leader, to bring stability to the region and established a new Iraqi police station in November. The IP are beginning to take more of an active role in the security of the city and continue to protect the citizens.
