Owen Menk of La Grange Highlands Scout Troop 216 volunteered to play taps during The Field of Honor event at Denning Park in La Grange, Ill., on Sept. 9, 2023 while U.S. Army Reserve Spc. Juan Carlos Izquierdo of the 318th Theater Public Affairs Support Element records. The event was a group effort of the community and the Operation Support Our Troops-America organization to honor military personnel, veterans, first responders, and front-line workers.
