Aviation structural mechanic Airman Steven Landis attached to the "Top Cats" of Sea Control Squadron (VS) 31, sands an empty fuel tank attached to an S-B3 Viking in the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) prior to painting. Stennis and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9, is on a scheduled deployment in support of the global war on terrorism and maritime operations.
