Soldiers with the Florida Army National Guard's 868th Engineer Company based out of Live Oaks, Florida have been utilizing heavy machinery and chainsaws to clear local roads of fallen debris and vegetation caused by Hurricane Idalia. During their mission, the soldiers utilized their equipment to cut a path through a wooded area to reach a trapped, injured resident who required transport to a medical facility.

The Florida National Guard is part of a larger team and working closely with our civilian partner agencies. The FLNG stands ready to assist the people of Florida.
