VICENZA, Italy - Members of the local Alpini groups of Vicenza and the Order of Malta meet near the Basilica of Monte Berico Aug. 26, 2023, before the annual cleanup of the arcades and the area leading up to the church to ready the site for the upcoming festivities of the patron saint “Virgin Mary of Monte Berico.” For the fifth year in a row, U.S. Soldiers have teamed up with them as part of their ongoing partnership and to strengthen their bond.
