Joint Program Office and Joint Program Executive Office held a ceremony to commemorate the rapid acquisition, integration and delivery of more than 27,000 MRAPs at SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic's vehicle integration facility on the former Charleston Naval Base. The MRAP program was the first major defense acquisition program to go from concept to full-scale production in less than a year since World War II. Guest speakers thanked SPAWAR employees and industry partners who played significant roles in a successful campaign that saved the lives and limbs of many warfighters.
