Lt. Col. Bryan Scholtes and Maj. Jim Fox greets members of the Czech Armed Forces and senior leadership, Aug. 22, 2023, at the National Guard air base in Lincoln, Nebraska, as they arrive ahead of the Guardians of Freedom Airshow. The Nebraska National Guard celebrates 30 years of partnership with the Czech Republic this year through the Department of Defense’s State Partnership Program. Through SPP, the National Guard conducts military-to-military engagements in support of defense security goals but also leverages whole-of-society relationships and capabilities to facilitate broader interagency and corollary engagements spanning military, government, economic and social spheres.
