Iowa Army National Guard Soldiers stand in formation during a Noncommissioned Officers Induction ceremony shortly before the annual Dine Out for the 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Aug. 12, 2023. NCO inductions celebrate the newly promoted joining the ranks of a professional NCO corps and emphasizes and builds on the pride we all share as members of an elite corps. The ceremony also honors the memory of the men and women of the NCO Corps who have served with pride and distinction.
