OAK HARBOR, Wash. (Aug. 9, 2023) – Sailors, assigned to Patrol Squadron Nine (VP-9), the “Golden Eagles,” listen to Chief of Naval Personnel Vice Adm. Rick Cheeseman during a VP-9 all-hands call at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Cheeseman and Navy Personnel, Manpower, and Training Fleet Master Chief Delbert Terrell Jr. answered questions about career opportunities and pay and personnel topics, including the future of billet-based advancement and systems modernization progress. Cheeseman and Terrell visited VP-9, a P-8A Poseidon multi-mission maritime aircraft squadron, while in the Pacific Northwest for the MyNavy HR Career Development Symposium.
