Pfc. Paxstynne Krieger, with the 294th Medical Company Area Support (MCAS), 109th Medical Battalion, Iowa National Guard, organizes paperwork in preparation of an influx of patients during Northern Strike 2023 on Camp Grayling, Michigan, Aug. 07, 2023. The 294th MCAS is at Northern Strike conducting real world care acting as a Role II Medical Facility while also preparing for evaluations to qualify on mission essential tasks. A Role II Medical Facility is a field hospital that provides more advanced medical support in the field, to include, x-ray, dental support and is large enough to allowing for wards in case additional areas of support are needed. Exercise Northern Strike 23 is a premier reserve component training event that integrates both U.S. and partner nation readiness training to build interoperability and strengthen partnerships in an all-domain environment.
