Frank Woodruff Buckles as featured in photographer David DeJonge's American Survivors of World War I portrait exhibit. Dejonge donated the exhibit, which features nine American World War I veterans, to the Pentagon. Buckles, who is 107 and attended the March 6 unveiling ceremony at the Pentagon, is one of two of the featured veterans who is still living. He left the Army as a corporal in 1920 after serving as an ambulance driver in England and France.
