Michigan Air National Guard Brig. Gen. Rolf E. Mammen, commander, 127th Wing pilots a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 127th Wing for his final flight as wing commander over Michigan, Aug. 3, 2023. Mammen took command of the 127th Wing in May 2019. The wing is home to 1,700 Airmen operating both the A-10 and KC-135 aircraft and hosts nearly 5,000 personnel from all branches of the military and numerous Department of Homeland Security organizations.
