NAVAL AIR STATION WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. (Aug. 1, 2023) -- Aviation Ordnancemen attached to Patrol Squadron (VP) 46, the ‘Grey Knights,’ load a MK 54 Warshot Torpedo into the weapons bay of a P-8A Poseidon in the conventional aircraft loading area at Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island, Washington, Aug. 1, 2023. VP-46 was tasked with conducting a surface weapon test of the MK 54 Warshot Torpedo to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the weapon’s inventory.
