Sgt. Maj. Angela M. Maness, sergeant major of Combat Logistics Battalion 8, salutes the national colors during a transfer of authority ceremony in Camp Fallujah, Mar. 5. The battalion turned responsibilities over to CLB-1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, based out of Camp Pendleton, Calif. CLB-8 completed more than 330 resupply missions during their seven-month deployment, delivering nearly a million gallons of fuel and 500,000 gallons of water to Regimental Combat Team 6 and RCT-1. They also emplaced about 10 million tons of concrete barriers, making their area safer for coalition and Iraqi forces.
