U.S. Army Spc. Matthew Cantu, an armored crewman, assigned to Comanche Company, 4th Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment uses a sledgehammer to drive pins into a segment of tank track so they can be reattached to an M1A2 Abrams tank at Lavarack Barracks, Townsville, Australia, Aug. 1, 2023. U.S. Army Soldiers and Australian contractors worked together to repair a U.S. M1A2 Abrams tank utilizing parts procured through the Australian supply system during Talisman Sabre 23.

Talisman Sabre is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening relationships and interoperability among key Allies and enhancing our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns.
