A paper rocket that was launched by a team from a cohort of local high school students selected as part of Science and Technology Education Partnership’s, “STEM in Defense,” pilot program hosted by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, lands near a target in Norco, California, July 19, 2023. The program is one of STEP’s STEM Summer Learning Labs and gave participants a hands-on learning experience focused on career opportunities in defense including cybersecurity, data analytics and the commercialization of military technology.
