Marines with I Marine Expeditionary Force exit the gas chamber after being exposed to o-Chlorobenzylidene Malononitrile, also known as CS gas, at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Nov. 28. The gas chamber is a required annual training for Marines. The instructor then had the Marines break the seal on the mask to demonstrate their ability to don and clear the mask in a simulated chemical environment.
