Before the start of exercise Talisman Sabre 2023, soldiers from 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment enjoy a game of volleyball with soldiers from Tongan Army, Fiji Army, French Foreign Legion and United States in Townsville Field Training Area, Australia, July 19, 2023. This display of camaraderie reminds us that despite different backgrounds, we stand stronger together as brothers and sisters in arms. Talisman Sabre is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening relationships and interoperability among key Allies and enhancing our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns.
