2020 Olympian Sgt. Sagan Maddalena (right), a marksmanship instructor/competitive shooter, with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit International Rifle Team, won the Silver Medal in Women’s 10m Air Rifle and the Gold Medal Women’s 50m Three-Position Rifle/Smallbore at the USA Shooting Pan American Games Selection Match in Colorado Springs, Colorado July 6-11. This allows the Groveland, California native to represent the Nation in both Women’s Air Rifle and Women’s 50m Three-Position Rifle/Smallbore at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile later this fall.
This will be the first time at the Pan Am Games for the U.S. Army Soldier.
