Sgt. Tim Sherry (right), a marksmanship instructor/competitive shooter, with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit International Rifle Team, won the Gold Medal Men’s 50m Three-Position Rifle/Smallbore and placed fourth in Men’s 10m Air Rifle at the USA Shooting Pan American Games Selection Match in Colorado Springs, Colorado July 6-11. These placements allow the Evergreen, Colorado native to represent the Nation in both Men’s 10 Air Rifle and Men’s 50m Three-Position Rifle/Smallbore at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile later this fall.
This will be second time for the U.S. Army Soldier to compete at the Pan American Games. At his first Pan Am Games in 2019, he won the Gold Medal in Men’s 50m Three-Position Rifle/Smallbore.
