U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Chris Becyar, assigned to the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, conducts a pre-flight inspection on a WC-130J Hercules aircraft before a weather reconnaissance mission Oct. 29, 2012, at Hunter Army Airfield, Ga. The squadron conducted the flight to track the movement of Hurricane Sandy along the East Coast. Sandy formed in the western Caribbean Sea and affected Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and the Bahamas before making landfall in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
