U.S. Army Sgt. Isaac Lozamo with 8th Engineer Battalion, attached to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, supporting 4th Infantry Division, shoots an M17 pistol, while German army OR-7 (Sgt. 1st Class) Thomas Seidemann provides shooting instructions at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, July 18. This was part of a German weapons qualification training held by members of NATOs’s enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Poland. Soldiers participated in the training in order to earn the German Armed Forces Badge of Marksmanship, or “Schützenschnur.” The 4th Inf. Div.'s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
