U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Joshua Vance with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, supporting 4th Infantry Division, briefs Polish army soldiers with Poland’s Territorial Defense Force, on how to operate an M4 rifle during German weapons qualification training at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, July 18. The training was conducted by members of NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Poland. Soldiers participated in the training in order to earn the German Armed Forces Badge of Marksmanship, or “Schützenschnur.” The 4th Inf. Div.'s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
