    U.S. Marines with the Maritime Special Purpose Force, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) (MEU(SOC)), set security during fast-roping aboard the Wasp-class Amphibious Assault Ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), Atlantic Ocean, Jul. 18, 2023. Fast-roping is a tactical maneuver used to quickly insert troops into austere terrain in which a helicopter may not be able to land.
