Sergeant 1st Class Megan Authier, course manager for 2nd Battalion, 169th Regiment (Regional Training Institute,) explains the 68W combat medic transition course to local employers at Stones Ranch Military Reservation in East Lyme, CT on July 12, 2023, during an ESGR “boss lift.” The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a DoD office ESGR that was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between reserve component service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee's military commitment. The purpose of the event was to educate the employers on the role of the National Guard and what their employees do while serving in the military.
