U.S. Navy Aviation Machinist?s Mate 2nd Class Ransom Evans, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23, performs routine maintenance on an MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter in the hangar bay of the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5), Nov. 9, 2012, in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Peleliu, the flagship of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group, was deployed to the region with the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) and the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) to conduct maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
