A guidon is on display at the entrance of the U.S. Marine Corps recruiting Station Baton Rouge change of command ceremony held at the Louisiana State University Lod Cook Alumni Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, June 30, 2023. On the guidon Marines from RS Baton Rouge wrote lasting notes to their commanding officer as a farewell gift. During the ceremony, Maj. Matthew T. Perry relinquished command of Recruiting Station Baton Rouge to Maj. Lucas C. Culver. Perry held command since April of 2020. Perry is a Louisiana native, and LSU alumni.
