An F/A-18E Super Hornet, attached to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8, breaks away from a KC-135, attached to the International Guard's Nebraska 155th Air Refueling Wing (ANG), after a mid-air refueling during Baltic Operations Exercise (BALTOPS), June 13, 2023. BALTOPS 23 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, include ships and ashore units from 11 NATO Ally nations and provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
