Soldiers assigned to the 927th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) simulate setting up security while providing emergency care to Spc. Jennifer Joseph (right, lying down), a signal support system specialist, while attending a combat life saver course during their annual training at Camp Blanding, Florida, on June 11, 2023. Her sister, Spc. Emmanuela Joseph (right, kneeling), a supply specialist, simulates applying a tourniquet to Jennifer’s left leg after an IED has severely injured it, per the training scenario. This training scenario is part of their test-out that is culminating the four-day course administered by Sgt. 1st Class Richard McAlister (background center, standing), a medical platoon sergeant assigned to the 1/153rd Cavalry. The 927th CSSB is a Florida Army National Guard unit based in Camp Blanding. (U.S. Army Guard photo by Sgt. 1st Class Shane Klestinski)
