FORT CHAFFEE, Ark. — The Warhammer Stakes, a competition organized by the 239th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, reaches its pinnacle on the second-to-last day, June 12, 2023. Participants engage in a grueling ruck march, weighing 30-35 lbs, along with a series of team activities including a litter carry, HMMWV drag, sandbag run, Bangalore supply box carry and weapons assembly lane. The day culminates with the challenging ruck swim across Engineer Lake, testing the endurance and camaraderie of the competing squads.
