ALASKAN GULF (May 13, 2023) Landing dock ship, USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) Command Master Chief Blake Wohl, Gunner’s Mate Chief Charles Espe and Electronic Technician Chief Erik Nondorf serve dinner in the junior enlisted galley as the ship sails through the Alaskan Gulf in support of Exercise Northern Edge 2023 (NE23-1). NE23-1 is one in a series of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command exercises designed to sharpen the joint forces’ skills; to practice tactics, techniques and procedures; to improve command, control and communication relationships; and to develop cooperative plans and programs.
