Ghana Armed Forces attend a patching ceremony signaling the official beginning of African Lion 2023 in Daboya, Ghana, June 6, 2023. U.S. military members and Ghana Armed Forces are scheduled to hold several training engagements throughout Ghana during the exercise. African Lion is an annual training event between the U.S., Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia and is designed to build interoperability and strengthen partnerships.
