Maj. Gen. Jeffery Broadwater, the V Corps deputy commanding general, presides over the reenlistment of Sgt. 1st Class Kyle Stewart June 6 at the Normandy American Cemetery in northwestern France. The DCG, senior NCO and seven peers serving on the V Corps honor guard conducted the reenlistment immediately following a major commemoration ceremony held 79 years from the day Allied forces launched Operation Overlord – the invasion of Europe – in 1944. Stewart, an ADOS NCO serving as an outreach coordinator with the Victory Corps forward public affairs office in Poznan, Poland, conducted his fifth and final reenlistment in memorable fashion at the iconic cemetery on Omaha Beach in Normandy.
