U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s (MEU) Maritime Special Purpose Force, sit at an observation post (OP) during Composite Training Unit Exercise (C2X), at Alexandria, Alabama on May 23, 2023. An OP is a temporary or fixed position from which Marines can watch enemy movements, to warn of approaching enemies, or to direct fire.
