The arresting tape is a component of a barrier arrestor kit which is designed to provide an added safety measure for military aircraft in scenarios where conventional runways or airfields may not be available or where the aircraft's landing gear or braking systems are damaged. The arresting cables are strategically positioned and designed to absorb the aircraft's kinetic energy upon landing, gradually bringing it to a stop while minimizing damage to the aircraft and protecting the occupants.
