Major General Ronald Bailey, the commanding general of 1st Marine Division, participates in a cake cutting ceremony here, Nov. 14, 2012. The battalion conducted a three-mile conditioning run to reiterate the importance of a dedicated physical fitness program. Afterward, the battalion held a cake cutting ceremony in honor of the 237th Marine Corps Birthday. Major Anthony Nesbit, the oldest Marine present, passed off the first slice of cake to Pfc. Melissa Vote, the youngest Marine present, signifying the passing of experience and Marine Corps tradition to a younger generation of Marines.
