Soldiers from the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) and 75th Ranger Regiment listen intently as historian Keith Nightingale, U.S. Army Col. (ret.), recounts the 1944 battlefield environment at the La Fière Bridge, France, during a staff ride June 1, 2023.
The staff rides, taking place over two days and visiting many historical locations in the Normandy region, afforded Soldiers the opportunity for the Soldiers to live history as they personally walked the ground the Allies liberated in 1944.
