The navigators station in the cockpit of a U.S. Air Force KC-135 tail number 58-0057, honors former crew chief Richard Devine on May 25, 2023. Devine’s name is displayed in the Iowa Air National Guard aircraft assigned to the 185th Air Refueling Wing with the unit patch of the defunct 42nd Air Refueling Squadron. Devine was part of the 42nd ARS where he was one of the aircrafts first crew chiefs at Loring Air Force Base, Maine when the air refueling aircraft was new during the late 1950’s.
