A Japan Ground Self-Defense Force paratrooper from the 1st Airborne Brigade descends toward the ground after parachuting from a 36th Airlift Squadron C-130J Super Hercules aircraft during the 2023 Friendship Festival above Yokota Air Base, Japan, May 21, 2023. Festival goers came from near and far, with some flying in from the other side of the world to attend the once-a-year event.
