FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (March 2023) An EOD Technician from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 3 and a Marine of Combat Logistics Battalion 8 perform exploitation procedures on training ordnance during EOD Warfare Specialist (EWS) training at Fort Hunter Liggett, California, in March 2023. Exploitation is a process to learn more about the nature of an explosive hazard, its origin, and how it works. EODMU-3 is a component of EOD Group (EODGRU) 1 that clears explosive hazards to provide access to denied areas, employs advanced tactics and technologies to exploit and secure the undersea domain for freedom of maneuver, builds and fosters relationships with trusted partners, and protects the nation.
