FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (March 2023) An EOD technician from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 3 shoots at a firing range during EOD Warfare Specialist (EWS) training at Fort Hunter Liggett, California, in March 2023. EWS assess the individual warfare proficiencies that are required for EOD technicians to earn their Senior and Master EOD Warfare Specialist qualifications. EODMU-3 is a component of EOD Group (EODGRU) 1 that clears explosive hazards to provide access to denied areas, employs advanced tactics and technologies to exploit and secure the undersea domain for freedom of maneuver, builds and fosters relationships with trusted partners, and protects the nation.
