Air Force Civil Engineer leaders including Brig. Gen. William Kale, AFCEC Commander, Brig. Gen. Brian Hartless, Director of Civil Engineers, and Col. Aaron Altwies, Associate Director of Civil Engineers, among others, gather with civil engineer allies and partners representing Canada, Japan, the Netherlands, and Singapore to observe Readiness Challenge IX at Tyndall AFB, Florida April 24-28, 2023. This year’s Readiness Challenge tested civil engineer contingency skills while operating in contested and degraded environments, strengthening their posture for the future fight. It was also an opportunity to promote multilateral cooperation and relationship-building between partner nations in attendance. (U.S. Air Force photo by HAF/A4C Strategic Communications)
