A-10 Pilots Perform Pre-Assault Operations and C-17s Escort with U.S. Army and Spanish Airborne Brigades
2x A-10 pilots from the 442d Fighter Wing performed pre-assault fire exercises and escorted Air Mobility Command C-17s which held 1,400 Spanish and U.S. Army Paratroopers in San Gregorio, Spain on May 10, 2023. The joint force exercise objectives included coordinating air assets with NATO forces to deploy paratroopers in an operational environment.
Although 22 knot winds prevented the jump, U.S. A-10 and C-17 pilots trained with NATO forces showcasing our ability to meet future operational demands efficiently.
