Two ROK River Crossing Battalions, during the early morning hours of Oct. 27, conducted river assault operations across the Han Nam River as part of this year's Hoguk exercises. The annual training event, aimed at deterring extended military threats posed by North Korea, brings together ROK and U.S. armed forces in an effort to improve joint operations between the two countries.
