USS Blue Ridge Conducts Engineering Casualty Drills

SAGAMI WAN (April 28, 2023) – Chief Machinist's Mate Jonas Garcia (left), assigned to Engineering Assessments Pacific, instructs Damage Controlman 1st Class Brandon Carrick on proper fire room procedures during an engineering casualty drill aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Blue Ridge conducts routine engineering drills to maintain readiness and ensure that the ship can safely and effectively operate at sea. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
